Maury County Convention & Visitors Bureau
Maury County is rich in history and most fortunate to be the Antebellum Homes Capital of Tennessee... approximately one hour south of Nashville about 30 minutes from Franklin/Williamson County where historic Carnton Plantation and the Carter House join Maury County’s story in the historic Hood’s Campaign of 1864 which led to the Battle of Franklin. Many outdoor sporting opportunities such as hunting, fishing, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, etc. are available within the county.
Take a journey through our world… past century old magnolias into white columned antebellum homes...
Rub a gravestone… in search of your roots in our preserved pioneer and slave cemeteries...
Enjoy… a fresh, fried peach pie on the porch of a country store...
Snap the reigns and hold on… as the mules lunge and your trolley history tour rolls forward.
This is our world and we love to share it with others. At the Maury County Convention & Visitors Bureau we know how to help you discover the adventure you seek. From country stores to family records, Antebellum homes to Mule Day festivities, fishing holes to art galleries; we know where they are and how to get you there.
