The mission of the Jackson Zoo is to provide visitors with a quality educational and recreational facility dedicated to wildlife care and conservation.
Exhibits, activities and special events are designed to fullfill this mission for the Zoo's audience base. For more than 85 years the Jackson Zoo has provided innovative approaches to animal management, conservation research, and education all in a fun, wholesome environment. It is a place where all are welcome to discover new experiences, be entertained, seek knowledge, and enjoy the beauty and wonders of the Zoo and its animal collection.
We want you and your family to become involved with the Zoo to help us build a greater zoo for Mississippi. Your support is important, whether you are a volunteer at the Zoo, make a donation to the Zoo Capital Campaign, or become a member through the Friends of the Jackson Zoo organization.
The Jackson Zoo and the Jackson Zoo Foundation are 501 (c)3 not-for-profit organizations and all gifts are tax-deductable to the extent allowed by law.
