McDonough Hospitality & Tourism Bureau - McDonough, GA

McDonough is a Main Street City that circles an old town square. The Tourism Office and Welcome Center is located on the West side of the square in a 1920's prototype Standard gas station. Our historic district includes over 275 locations of a variety of colonial architectural designs. A stroll along Macon, Griffin, or Lawrenceville street will reveal constructions of Greek Revival, Gothic, Queen Anne, Neoclassical, Folk Victorian, Tudor, Craftsman and many others. On the NE corner of the square the old Polk Building houses one of the rare post office  murals painted during reconstruction by artist Jean Charlot.  Located 20 miles south of Atlanta off Interstate 75 at exit 221 and 218.
