USDA Forest Service-Southern Region – Atlanta Georgia

The Southern Region of the U.S. Forest Service is spread across 14 states plus Puerto Rico. It contains over 1800 recreation sites plus 700,000 acres of wilderness, rivers, miles of trails and other outdoor delights. Wildlife viewing! Hunting big and small game! Fishing!

Learning about nature and wild places! With more than 31,000 miles of fishable streams, 175,000 acres of ponds and lakes, 5,000 miles of hiking trails and hunting opportunities on virtually all of the 13 million acres in the southern region, there is a lot to see and do here.
