U.S. Space and Rocket Center
At the U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC), there plenty of attractions to keep you busy all day or you might find yourself visiting all week! Established in September 2000, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center has a museum containing the United States largest collections of rockets, space memorabilia (such as the Apollo 16 capsule) and showcases spatial technology of past and present.
The U.S. Space and Rocket Center museum also has attractions including rides like the air-defying Space Shot sending you 140 feet up in the air in less than 5 seconds. Fly over, up, down and around buildings in the Helicopter Simulator, or scale the walls of a replication of Mars' Olympus Mons, the biggest volcano in our solar system. And there's so much more!
The U.S. Space and Rocket Center offers 3 -5 days Space Camp and Academy programs for grades 4 - 12. Trainees will experience the nation's leading science, math and technology educational programs. Aviation Challenge programs are also offered. With intense training like the Navy Seals, you'll learn mission planning and execution. With so much fun and excitement, visiting the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is a must!
